Other STI self test types: Chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing is performed using first-stream urine and/or throat and rectal swabs, collected either by self-sampling (urine and rectal swabs) or by a nurse (throat/rectal swabs) and analysed using molecular testing. Results are available within 2 weeks. Syphilis (together with HIV) is tested using a rapid finger-prick test with results in 1 min, while HCV is tested using a rapid oral fluid test with results in approximately 20 min. All test results are provided via a secure web app.
